"Don't You Think It's Funny": A poem

Don't you think it's funny

That tall people want to be short
and short people want to be tall

That chubby people want to be skinny
and skinny people want to put on weight

That blonde people want to have dark hair
and dark-haired people want to be blonde

That pale-skinned people want to have darker skin
and dark-skinned people want to be white

That all young people want is to grow up
and adults do the impossible to fight ageing

I think it's funny
That no-one seems to like their appearance
Why can't we all just accept ourselves the way we are?

    So true! I use to have this problem, luckily I've become more at home in my own skin, but that's just because I've met amazing people who honestly love me and the way I look! :)

      I've always felt really comfortable in my own skin, and it kind of annoys me that everyone seems to hate at least one part of themselves... Everyone is beautiful in their own way, why can't we just like ourselves the way we are? :)

      I know! My friends are constantly tearing themselves down, I wish they could just see themselves the way I do!

Indigo's Monthly Writing Challenge: September

This is actually going to be a thing I'm so excited!!! Hey, remember the idea I wrote about yesterday in this post?  Well, a few people said they were interested so I've decided to make it into something official. Welcome to Indigo's Monthly Writing Challenge! (I'll probably give it a snappier title later on...) The idea: at the start of every month, I come up with a theme, such as "music", "friendship", "pets", "summer". Really Random Post - life updates, YouTube shoutouts + WIP snippets!

*jumps into view* HEY GUYS! So. It's been a while. I mean, not a huge while?? Just like... three weeks? Ok so that's a pretty big while. BUT. Hey, I'm here now,  aren't I!! I'm back!! Isn't this exciting!! Anyways, I do  have an excuse for having dropped off the blogging radar for some time, or rather, I have several excuses. These are:                           1. I have my first GCSE exams coming up in just over a week (A WEEK?!) so I've been reeeallly busy revising and finishing everything off and just basically stressing. (I mean, I'm not that stressed? But I do have LOADS I still have to revise before my exams.) Which means I have very little free time to come up with blog posts and even less time to actually WRITE the darn things.
